It looks great. :) You've captured her very well, and I like that the black is actually deep black and not just gray

Wowww Stacey; your observational skills are amazing (:
And what do you mean by technical skill practice?

:iconcretsya:
thank you dear! and technical skill = observational skill i'm sure. xD that's what the requirements say.
by the way, i was wondering, what art schools are you looking into? FIT? Parsons? coz those are two REALLY good fashion schools!

WHAAAAA? ARE YOU SURE?! XDDDDD
Because those are completely different!
I thought it was technical skill = artistic knowledge of methods to achieve the outcome that you want
observational = ability to translate your observations into an art piece
Something like that?

LOOOOL THOSE ARE EXACTLY THE TWO FASHION SCHOOLS I LOOKED INTO XDDDD
And I'm not sure if I want to be a fashion designer or just some sort
of illustrator of some sort LOL ):
I am taking my first fashion design class this Saturday so maybe that
will help me sort out my mixed feelings.
And... is this the portfolio for the professional summer art training?
LOOOOL mannnn I'm so jealous your parents are willing to support you
and pay for expensive art courses RAHHHH XD My parents would NEVER;
unless I REALLY wanted to tick them off. I know I can get my parents
to do anything, but they always get so PISSED. I wish we could all be
happy at the same time XD

Yeah I'm sure, because at the beginning, I WASN'T SURE. So I looked into examples of what other students submitted, and all I saw was observational drawing. (: I saw animals and humans drawn realistically and all.

Oooo that's a good thing to do, actually! Lol I'm definitely looking into Illustration, Cartooning or Game Art and Design! And well it's not necessarily for the portfolio, but the work you can get from it is so good it can definitely be used on the portfolio, which is what I'm doing. Their goal in the program is to provide an experience that goes BEYOND the improvement and practice of art--I really think this can help me. I'm also doing this so I can know if I would like Animation or not. I'm going for its animation program, which is apparently the hardest and can get the most experience out of it.
But at least you got the fashion class! I'm pretty sure it will be beneficial to your art (:

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
SWEEEETTT

AHHHHHHH you tempt me... ): What are some other
artist jobs? Game Art and Design and Illustration
are so... appealing RrAGhrEAGHGHR WOAHHHHHH
THAAT.... IS SO.... AWESOME! HOPE YOU'LL GET IN
(: You'll be soooo pro with animation after that
summer program, even if you realize you're not too
into animation lol. Because animation is TOUGH
XD Not only do it have to look convincing; it has
to MOVE, TOO. XD
LOOOOL NOPE XD It's a more conceptual fashion class,
which is what I wanted. Althought, they made me draw the
fashion figure that is 11 heads tall and an actual
face. LOOOOOL. Andrew describe the class as
"derogatory" when I described my experience in the
first class XD

Well there's the usual Fine Arts and all that. I'm pretty sure we know all the art fields there are. And I think I'm going to go with Game Art and Design! :D I have confidence in my illustrating/conceptual ideas, but I'd rather spend it on Game concept Art and character sketches than on book story covers and magazines.
Even if I find that animation is not for me, I will still get benefits out of it because I believe exploring other art fields will help expand ideas and skills ;D And yeah I also heard the animation process is quite tedious yet it feels absolutely great when you see your own animation finally in motion. Blah I hope I can get in! I'm really excited for CSSSA and I'm not even in yet !! x_x or done with my requirements haha.
And where are you taking this fashion class? You should try going to Parsons in the spring for their fashion classes.
And I'm actually not surprised they would make you draw super tall fashion figures. That's what they want in fashion: they want really thin tall models, so you gotta draw tall and thin. The friend I told you about who goes to FIT (and is now transferring to Parsons) draws super tall and thin (but with skill and it is very pretty :'D)
But why is it "derogatory"? what else happened?
